About

Description

Soluble hemostatic gauze is designed to quickly absorb exudates from the wound surface, forming a viscous gel that effectively stops bleeding, protects the wound and accelerates healing of traumatic and post-operative wounds. When gauze comes into contact with a bleeding site, it quickly absorbs water from the exudates, creating a gelatinous mass that fills wound voids, seals the capillary ends, and aids in hemostasis.

Technical specifications :

- 35.4 x 3.9 inches - 900 x 100 mm,
- Weight: 20 g,
- Mainly composed of sodium carboxymethylcellulose,

Manual :

- Remove it from its sterile packaging and cut it to fit the wound area,
- Apply light direct pressure until the bleeding stops (the dosage can be adjusted depending on the amount and nature of the bleeding, with application of several layers if necessary), moistening with physiological serum to better adhesion,
- If necessary, combine with standard dressings for additional protection.
-If the gauze becomes saturated, moisten it with sterile water or saline solution, then gently wipe off any excess material.

Indications and contraindications :

Soluble hemostatic gauze is ideal for short-term external use to control bleeding from lacerations, cuts, abrasions and venipunctures for the general population, including those taking anticoagulant medications. However, it is not intended for hemostasis of large surface wounds or hemorrhage from large arteries.
