Procedure if bleeding from the arm or one hand :

1/ Unpack the tourniquet, open it by unfastening the Velcro, and apply it upstream of the injury or as high as possible on the arm if the exact position of the injury is not identifiable.
2/ Tighten the strap and close with Velcro by turning it over on itself.
3/ Do not place the rod against the body.
4/ Turn the rod until the bleeding stops.
5/ Fix the rod in the slot, and lock.
6/ Secure the strap over the stem. For small diameter limbs, continue to wrap the strap tightly over the shaft.
7/ Secure the whole thing by fixing the “TIME” tab. Indicate the time of application.

Procedure if bleeding from the leg, with both hands :

1/ To put the tourniquet around the leg, open it completely, pass it around the leg, then insert the strap into the buckle from below.
2/ Tighten the strap and close with Velcro by turning it over on itself.
3/ Turn the rod until the bleeding stops.
4/ Fix the rod in the slot, and lock.
5/ Secure the strap over the stem. For small diameter limbs, continue to stick the strap firmly over the stem.
6/ Secure the whole thing by fixing the “TIME” tab. Indicate the time of application.

Storage :

If the storage conditions are respected, the validity period is 5 years. Store at a temperature of 5-38°C, and relative humidity < 80%. Do not expose to corrosive gas and keep in a ventilated place.
